James graduated summa cum laude from Loyola University Chicago in Chicago, Illinois with a B.A. in History. He graduated magna cum laude from Loyola University Chicago School of Law with his J.D.
While in law school, James was on the Family Law Moot Court Team and the National Moot Court Team. He was also a Staff Member and a Senior Editor for the Loyola University Chicago Consumer Law Journal.
Previously, Jim was an intern at Equip for Equality in the special education and civil rights divisions. Jim also externed with the Illinois Appellate Court. Prior to joining the firm, Jim was a federal law clerk in the Northern District of Illinois.
